White Ash is a great choice when looking for a strong and affordable wood!
This wood is a popular choice for making tool handles and baseball bats. Other popular uses would be flooring, millwork, and furniture.
The heartwood is light to medium brown with a sapwood that is typically beige or light brown. It’s not always clear where the sapwood ends, and the heartwood begins. The grain is quite coarse and strikes a strong resemblance to oak. Typically it is fairly straight-grained but you will occasionally find a curly or figured board!
What is happening to White Ash trees? The emerald ash borer has decimated hundreds of millions of ash trees. Because of this, ash is starting to disappear from lumber yards and forests alike.
In order to offer more protective packing for shipping - our lengths are often 1/4" less than sizes listed. Need a wider width or longer length? Please email us for a quote. Custom millwork charges will apply.

Wood looks fantastic, I also had great customer experience with KJP, I originally ordered different wood. They called me the next day to say they didn't have the inventory and the website wasn't updated. Which was fine, they were great about it and asked if I knew what else I wanted. I just got my money back, and ordered this White Ash. It was sent out quickly, I will buy again.
Awesome Canadian Laser Wood (and acrylic) Supplier!
LOVE everything I've ordered! It's all great quality, nice and flat, great selection and perfect for laser projects. Highly recommend KJP! Please continue to carry Houston Acrylics as well- love their acrylic colours and supporting their small business as well. The pattern ply are fun and so nice too. Thanks KJP! This Canadian laser user is so happy to have found your shop.
Juts ordered this....be warned this is not a true walnut veneer
I have ordered the craft 1/8" walnut plywood from KJP with great results, but this 'TruFlat' stuff is not real walnut. In any case, looks very different from the other laserable walnut mdf-veneered product I have from Trotec, as well as the other craft ply walnut from KJP- which is good for lasering, btw. Order a sample first. It is very flat tho, but lookswise its not what we were looking for... not going to get this again.
